FAQs

Are sets exactly the same?

Each pot is made by hand and is unique. Actual pots may vary a little from photo in shape, size or glaze. Pieces in sets may have a slight variation in size or glaze, evidence of the making process, but are very consistent.

Can pots be cleaned in the dishwasher?

Yes, my pots are dishwasher-safe with care.  Make sure pots, especially handles, are securely placed, not touching other items in the dishwasher.

Is there lead in the glazes?

No lead is used in any of my glazes.

Can the pots be microwaved?

It's best not to microwave the pottery.  It can be done if care is taken not to overheat them or expose pots to extreme temperature changes such as placing ice cold liuids in the microwave.

How is my order packed and shipped?

I try to be eco-friendly and ship using recycled packing materials and boxes whenever I can, by the best rate possible, insured, usually through the USPS  Priority or UPS. Sorry, I do not ship internationally. View this page for more information about shipping.

When may I expect my pottery?

Pots will be shipped within 5 business days of receiving your order and processed payment. Customer is responsible for the cost of shipping. USPS Priority states 1-3 days for delivery, but they do not guarantee this. Contact us for expedited shipping rates.

Can I “visit” the pottery live through FaceTime or Zoom?

Yes! Contact us if you would like to schedule a virtual shopping experience.

How can I return my pottery?

All sales are final but contact us right away if you receive broken pottery, for replacement or refund. Please save original packing and broken pot and send a photo of the damaged pot and package within 24 hours to caryn@willowoodpottery.com.

Can I pick up my web order?

Yes. Choose “local pickup” at checkout and include your contact information and I will contact you to make arrangements.

Do you take special orders?

Contact us directly. Please allow 1-2 months or longer for special orders. Timing is based on where I am in the throwing and glazing cycle. All special orders must be pre-paid and the sale is final.

Can I visit in person?

Yes. Studio visits are by appointment only.  Please call or text us. 609-203-7141.

Do you teach classes?

Yes. Please contact us by email or phone if interested in classes. Indicate your preferred days/time.

I placed multiple orders. Can you combine orders and refund shipping overage cost?

If combined orders going to the same address generate excess shipping costs, you may request verification/adjustment of shipping charges. I will refund if actual shipping is $5 or more over actual cost. Please note your request in check-out or contact us.
